Paint rubber?

Postby bigjase » Thu Aug 16, 2012 2:26 pm

I am getting ready to do my first custom, but would like to paint the white rubber sole of the shoe. Is there a way to do this?

Not really honestly, the process that is best still isnt perfect and will still crack, its a big part of the reason choosing the right base shoe is so important

Thank you. Is there a way to clean that area? I was going to try my first custom on a used shoe that is showing some yellowing of that white rubber.

Some people have had success with a product called Seaglow in the past but thats more or less for gum rubber to make it crystal clear again.... Yellowing is tricky, I used to try watered down acetone but its probably not the best idea. Hopefully someone else posts up another option soon however if its just a bit of white thinly on the rubber I wouldnt stress tonnes about painting it. I more or less assumed you wanted to recolor or paint it with a pattern etc.
