Sticky Paint?

Postby Lo-Res » Thu Aug 16, 2012 5:32 am

Hey fellas...
So I got an old leather handbag from my mother to paint 'cuz she didnt want it anymore...now its not real leather...so I came up with a design..painted it and so on..all the usual stuff...thing is...even a day later the paint is still tacky and sticky,I left it on the table to answer the phone and there was dust and shit stuck to the bottom of it. Ive painted on similar "leather" before and never had this issue so what im asking is...
Has anyone ever had that happen before..be it on a shoe or otherwise?
How did u fix it or am I just not leaving it long enough to dry?

Iv sprayed some finisher on it to see if it makes any difference

Thanks Homies

Hey man well yeah its tricky it can be for a few reasons. It has happened to me and its when there is a residue on the material you are painting that isnt allowing the paint to set. Only suggestion is to acetone the whole thing again taking off the paint and start from scratch, however its a cheap bag and knowing me I would have just binned it also haha
